Becoming The Person You Were Meant To Be
What if our greatest achievements in life aren’t about what we do, but who we become?
I’ve earned a PhD, published a book, had an award-winning career as a professor and researcher, and launched my own consultancy where I have the honor of helping people every day.
But what truly defines me are the personal moments I chose courage over fear, voice over silence, and self-worth over shame:
🌺 Coming out despite my fears of rejection
🌷 Prioritizing my mental health when my family disowned me
🌻 Healing from trauma, illness, and breast cancer
🪻 Standing up to hate and injustice
🌸 Choosing joy
Courage doesn’t always loudly proclaim itself; it’s also the quiet decision to keep going, to heal, to be seen. As the poet E.E. Cummings has famously said, “it takes courage to grow up and become who you really are.”
My greatest accomplishment is becoming the person I was meant to be. What are your proudest moments?
