Turning My Story Into My Strength

Welcome to my network! Whether you're new here or we've been connected for a while, I wanted to share a little about who I am and the work that inspires me.

I'm a queer, Jewish educator, consultant, and coach who transforms theory into action and silence into courageous conversation. I've built my career around bridging what many find difficult to navigate: discomfort, difference, and deep systemic harm.

This work is deeply personal for me. When I came out to my family in college, I was disowned and cut off both emotionally and financially. My mother wrote me a letter saying she would rather see me dead at her feet than be a lesbian. It’s still the most painful thing that has ever happened to me.

That experience taught me what it feels like to be invisible, disrespected, and unwelcome—even in the place I called home. Many decades later, this is why I'm passionate about helping leaders, teams, and educators create environments where people can be truly seen, respected, and welcomed.

Whether I'm guiding a board through difficult dialogue or advocating for racial and gender justice, my work is deeply rooted in care and human-centered values. I believe in speaking with both courage and compassion, creating brave spaces to address uncomfortable truths, and peace building as a form of hope.

I'm grateful to be part of a network that values authentic conversation and respectful disagreement. Every day, I'm inspired by the people who choose courage over comfort and connection over division.

I'd love to hear from you: What's fueling your own work these days? I'm here for the real conversations, and I’m grateful to be in community with you.
