In Solidarity with Palestinians and Israelis

Antisemitism is not anti-colonial struggle. Islamophobia is not counterterrorism. I’m deeply disappointed by those who claim to stand for equality and peace and yet incite hatred and demonize the “other side.”

As I’ve repeatedly argued, refusing to recognize the humanity and suffering of the other side diminishes our humanity. My fight against antisemitism is fundamentally linked to my antiracist work, my queer activism, my feminism, and my efforts to advance justice for all. That’s why today I’m expressing solidarity with both my Palestinian and Israeli siblings.

🇵🇸 I stand in solidarity with the people of Palestine.

🇵🇸 I acknowledge the dignity of Palestinian, Arab, and Muslim people as human beings.

🇵🇸 I am opposed to the dehumanization of Palestinian, Arab, and Muslim people.

🇵🇸 I support Palestinians’ right to live in freedom, peace, and safety.

🇵🇸 I affirm Palestinian people’s right to self-determination and security.

🇮🇱 I stand in solidarity with the people of Israel.

🇮🇱 I acknowledge the dignity of Jews and Israelis as human beings.

🇮🇱 I am opposed to the dehumanization of Jewish and Israeli people.

🇮🇱 I support the people of Israel’s right to live in freedom, peace, and safety.

🇮🇱 I affirm Israeli people’s right to self-determination and security.

➡ ➡ To those who criticize my “both sides” approach, I say this: the either/or mindset is a pathology that upholds rather than contests hierarchies of human value. If we truly want to end devastating cycles of violence and retribution, we must have the courage to open our hearts and minds.

🕊 My work focuses on bridge-building, cultural humility, and shared humanity. Antisemitism and navigating difficult conversations are two of my signature speaking topics. If I can help you, your organization, or university, please reach out!
